Seating plan

The seating plan at Hugh’s Jazz Club has been designed to showcase the best musical experience at the venue.

Hugh’s offers a mix of intimate seating options, some sold per seat and others requiring a minimum group booking. Certain seats are designed to be shared with other guests, while others can be booked in full for private use. When booking individual seats, you may be seated with other guests unless all seats at that table, couch, or booth are reserved by your group. Seating is limited and cannot be reconfigured on the night, so we recommend reviewing the seating descriptions carefully and selecting what suits your evening best before booking.

The Booth

The booth is an intimate, semi-private space seating up to 8 guests, ideal for celebrations, shared dining, and drinks.

  • To book a booth there is a minimum booking of 6 seats and a maximum of 8 seats

  • If all 8 seats are booked, 2 seats will have obstructed views and guests may need to turn to watch the performance

  • Most booths are not bookable as single private seats

Blue Booth: Seats in the blue booths are sold individually and will be shared with other guests. Cost: R450 per person.

Yellow Booth: Seats in the yellow booths are sold as a group booking only with a minimum booking of 6 seats and maximum of 8 seats. Cost: R550 per person.

Red Booth: Seats in the red booths are sold as a group booking only with a minimum booking of 6 seats and maximum of 8 seats. Cost: R650 per person.

NB: If you wish to book a booth exclusively, you will need to purchase all 6 seats even if you only use 2 seats.

The couch

Couch seating is located directly in front of the stage, offering a relaxed, lounge-style and music focussed experience.

  • Low, comfortable couches with a table for drinks and snacks

  • Seats are sold individually

  • Some couches seat up to 5 guests

  • To enjoy a couch exclusively, we recommend booking all seats on that couch

  • Otherwise, seating may be shared with other guests

Cost: From R650 - R750 per person

Round Tables

Round tables feature a small round table with two plush chairs, ideal for intimate dining and focused listening. These tables are located behind the couches.

  • Seats are sold individually

  • Both chairs face the stage with minimal obstruction

  • If only one seat is booked, the second seat may be booked by another guest

  • To enjoy the table privately, please book both seats

  • You may select the exact table you wish to sit on in Quicket

Cost: R550 per person

High Tables

High Tables are located towards the back of the room near the bar and feature a narrow rectangular high table and plush bar stools. These tables accommodate 4 seats comfortably.

  • Tall rectangular tables with bar stools

  • Four seats per table

  • Seats are sold individually and are likely to be shared

  • Best suited for drinks and light snacks rather than full dining

The bar

Limited seats at the bar have been allocated for individual bookings

  • Each seat is sold separately

  • Designed as a shared experience, it is a functional bar so there will be guests ordering near your seating

  • Ideal for guests focused on drinks and atmosphere

Cost: R300 per person
